Visit meant to enhance business relations between the UAE and China

Abu Dhabi, May 23, 2012: The Higher Corporation for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp) recently received a Chinese delegation from Zhejiang at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, to learn more about one another, exchange expertise and knowledge, in addition to discussing investment and business opportunities available to both sides. This visit is one of many that ZonesCorp is always working towards hosting to support the Emirate's 2030 vision.

HE Mohamed Hasan Al Qamzi, CEO of ZonesCorp and a number of senior executives welcomed the delegation upon their arrival, which was headed by Ren Zemin, Senior Advisor of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government and included the following members from the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government: Ruan Zhongxun, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Department, Wang Haichao, Director General of the Supervision Department, Weng Chunguang, Vice Director General of the General Office, Xing Huidong, Director of European and African Affairs Division at the Department of Foreign Affairs, and Yang Weizhi, Staff of the Supervision Department.

During the visit, HE Al Qamzi explained to the delegation the many services, privileges and competitive facilitations offered by ZonesCorp to Chinese investors, in addition to highlighting the organization's key strength points, its different zones and worker residential cities, and the stable investment climate it is known for. HE stressed ZonesCorp's mission to establish itself as the preferred investment partner of choice for Chinese investors in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

The delegation then went on a field visit to the different areas falling under Zonescorp, where they observed the projects and factories, and the fully-integrated infrastructure facilities provided for investors and industrial projects, reflecting ZonesCorp's strong organizational and planning abilities, and their commitment to continuously meeting all the needs of entities located within their areas.

Commenting on the visit, HE Al Qamzi said: "ZonesCorp is continuously looking for ways to enhance ties with investors and industrial facilities, in order to encourage them to set up their operation in Abu Dhabi and to support the growth of the Emirate's economy. This visit falls in line with our efforts to enhance business relations between the UAE and China, which will also aid in developing the economies of both parties."

"During this meeting, we both discussed the mutual investment opportunities available to us respectively, and we presented to the Chinese delegation the many services and facilitations offered by our organization. Our visitors expressed their interest in inviting Chinese businesspeople to visit Abu Dhabi and our zones and worker residential cities, in order to fully understand the unique privileges we offer," HE Al Qamzi added.

Regarding ZonesCorp's reception of his delegation, Ren Zemin, Senior Advisor of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, stated: "We were very pleased with our visit, and we hope that this meeting results in a number of joint ventures between ZonesCorp and Chinese investors. We will continue to follow up with ZonesCorp during the coming months in order to further investigate possible partnership opportunities, and we hope that we are able to establish a number of Chinese operations within its areas."

China's Zhejiang Province incorporates many economic and industrial zones, where it is considered to be the fourth largest economy and the third largest exporter in China. It leads all provinces in rankings of GDP per capita in both urban and rural areas and has a total of 53 industrial and economic areas.
