Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Zaker Trading, a provider of innovative engineering products and services, recently chose a cost-effective and easy-to-use converged communications and network solution from ALE, which is operating under the Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise brand, for its new headquarters in Dubai Investment Park in the UAE.

Zaker Trading, a leading supplier of premium welding, lifting and safety products to various regional industrial customers, has a number of showrooms and warehouses in the GCC region. Zaker's IT team now has a comprehensive, unified infrastructure in the newly-opened headquarters in Dubai that allows its employees to communicate and access their network in an efficient manner, across the network of offices, showrooms and multiple warehouses in the region.

Zaker's recent move to its new custom-made 50,000 sq.ft. headquarters in Dubai, required a new IT and communications set-up, updating the company's old legacy infrastructure. Through system integrator Al Futtaim Technologies, Zaker deployed a mix of Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise networking and unified communications products and solutions, including the Alcatel-Lucent OmniAccess® 5850 Enterprise Services Router, OmniPCX® Enterprise Communication Server, OmniSwitch LAN switches and OmniAccess® wireless LAN access points.

Charles Jesudason, Group General Manager at Zaker Trading said, "The architecture in our previous office was old, expensive to maintain and limited us from basic IT services like easy communication between our offices.
