Dubai - Xerox Emirates have reinforced their commitment towards growth of the Graphic Arts industry in the UAE by the successful launch of Xerox's Digital Printing Press range. The range of the DocuColor series of presses is engineered for commercial printers, in-plants and quick-print professionals. It is ideal for print environments that require mixed stock, high-volume, and quick turnaround performance.

The International Association of Printing House Craftsmen Annual event, International Gallery of Superb Printing has honoured the Xerox DocuColor 6060 with their worldwide "Best of the Best" award for Graphic Innovation.

Xerox Emirates, recently, organised an event for the Graphic Arts industry in association with Creo, a global company with key strengths in imaging, software and digital printing plate technology and ME Printer, Middle East's print communication magazine.

"Xerox is proud to be a key propeller of the Graphic Arts industry. Xerox printing presses and Freeflow solutions allow print service providers across the globe to accelerate their performance and drive new digital applications that expand opportunities and deliver greater revenues and profits. These solutions enable the users to expedite workflow to improve operational efficiencies, enable more jobs, reduce costs and expand their business," said Andrew Hurt, General Manager, Xerox Emirates.

Modern Printing Press, one of the leading print and publishing houses in the UAE has become the first organisation to implement the Xerox's DC6060 Digital Press solution and unique in offering the latest Digital Printing services.

"We are extremely delighted at acquiring the new Xerox DC6060. A lot can be achieved by complementing traditional offset with digital printing technologies. We have taken a step further with the use of this latest offering from Xerox," said Ahmed Al Sheikh, Managing Director, Modern Printing Press.

"In partnership with industry-leading prepress professional, Xerox has developed their Freeflow unified offset and digital workflow - a unique workflow which allows print providers to seamlessly integrate Xerox digital printing equipment into their existing workflows. By directing and submitting jobs to a digital press from an offset prepress system, print providers can now expand into new and profitable printing areas leveraged by the unique capabilities of digital printing," according to Ayman Mattar, Marketing Manager, Xerox Emirates.

The DocuColor presses come with innumerable benefits for the Graphic Art Industry. Superior uptime ensures higher profits and lower total cost of ownership. They integrate well into existing workflows, protecting past investments and avoiding staff re-training. Providing a choice of three industry-leading colour servers and multiple finishing options, they streamline the workflow and broaden the job capabilities of a printing house.

"Our vision is to help customers do great work in offices everywhere - in companies of all sizes. This means helping our customers to focus on their core competence and build value for their enterprise," said Mr. Hurt. "We will build on our experience and technology to bring new power, new value and new choices to our customers."
