Dubai, February 28, 2007 - For the first time, Xerox Emirates has participated in the Middle East IT Service Management (ITSM) Conference, which took place recently at Dubai's Metropolitan Palace Hotel. In its fourth year, the annual event brought together leading industry professionals from across the globe to discuss the latest developments in ITSM. Xerox Emirates conducted a presentation focusing on Global Services, specifically "Why are IT Outsourcing the Office Output Environment." The company, an IT solution partner of the conference, also had a presence in the main exhibition area.
Tim Gould, Xerox Global Services, global accounts and alliances and partnerships director in the Middle East and Africa, and worked for Xerox developing market operations, has conducted a presentation during the conference, where he highlighted on the Organizations that don't measure their document expenditures and have no idea what amount of revenue is being spent on documents needs. He also emphasized on that Outsourcing is a perspective, that is not really understood but one which can contribute to IT Operational Excellence with significant money savings, improved efficiency & enhanced productivity.

The 2 -day conference featured a wide range of case studies, presentations and workshops, conducted by professionals from the Middle East, the US, Asia and Europe. A key aim of the conference is to foster developments and improvements in all areas of IT Service Management. Participants shared insights into such areas as aligning IT with business strategies, establishing IT governance to ensure corporate agility and Service Oriented Architecture. The event also covered the identification and management of IT risk, and provided cutting-edge information on ITSM frameworks.
