Xerox wins for the 2ndconsecutive year running at the annual ITP Channel ME 2009 Awards Ceremony

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 25th March 2009 - Xerox Middle East & Africa the leading document management technology and services enterprise was recognized for  the second year running as the "leading Printing and Consumables Vendor of  the Year" at the Channel Middle East 2009 awards ceremony held last Monday 23rd March 2009 at the prestigious Winston Hotel, in Dubai.

The event was attended by over 200 senior management delegates from various leading IT vendors, along with their channel network partners from across the region.

Commenting on the award, Dan Smith, Manager for Integrated Marketing for the Middle East and Africa region of Xerox's Developing Markets Operations, said: "We are proud that Xerox has secured this award for the second year in a row. We are delighted to see our efforts at supporting our channel partners across the region being recognized.'

He added: "this award is a valued addition to an already impressive list of recognitions that sets Xerox apart from its competitors"

The main criteria for this award was the vendor who's contribution to the channel in terms of dedicated channel programmes and providing them with leading edge products designed to meet their customer's needs.  Other contenders to this award included OKI and Brother.

Earlier this year Xerox held their yearly partner conference in Dubai, which attended by over 120 partners from across the MEA region. Xerox helps its channel partners grow their business worldwide through regular training, marketing support and ongoing 2-way communication on Xerox's strategies, products and solutions which delivers mutual success for both vendor and channel partner.

After receiving the award, an elated Mohamed Amer, Regional Manager at Xerox Middle East & Africa said, "This award is further proof of Xerox continuing leadership in the printing and consumables industry."

Xerox's regional headquarters has been in Dubai, UAE since 1983 and relocated to Dubai Internet City in 2005. Xerox MEA operates through a strong regional distributor network some whom have been in place for over 26 years.
