Wadih Jreissati et Fils Spins Out its Thriving Hydronics Business

Eco-Friendly Sanitary Solutions Provider, Contra International, Relocates Headquarters to Lebanon

Beirut, Lebanon--February 11, 2009: Contra International, the Qatar-based supplier of green technologies and waste-management solutions, acquired the Hydronics Division of Lebanon's Wadih Jreissati et Fils, on January 1, 2009. The new, Lebanon-based headquarters will give Contra the advantages of proximity to its Lebanese client base, a customized, project-focused approach and a dynamic outlook to new operational locations in Europe and North Africa.

Known to clients as "Hydronics Department", the division attracted Contra International's attention due to its energetic and project-oriented business vision, which is geared toward technological development and innovation. The move enriches Contra's proactive makeup and forms an integral part of its plan to appeal to a diverse, discerning client base.

"Contra International leverages Wadih Jreissati et Fils' 104-year history in the field and will offer growth potential to ideas in the seed stage," said Joseph Jreisati, Contra International's CEO. Although the two businesses are unaffiliated, Contra International will retain Hydronics' clients, projects, assets, technology, products and management team, including Joseph Jreissti, as CEO of both companies, to ensure consistency. Contra plans to increase its Lebanon-based taskforce and footprint, to achieve its business goals and deliver on its promises to clients.

Contra's Green Product lineup of waste and linen chutes, stainless steel exhausts, pre-insulated ducts and solar air-conditioning, will be complemented with Hydronics' ITT Bell & Gossett Residential and Commercial Water Systems, Heat Exchangers; Fire Pump Systems; Poliedra Stainless Steel Exhausts and Kitchen Hoods, as well as Tri-Mer Scrubbers.
