Dubai: Experts flying into Dubai for the upcoming Internal Auditors Association (IAA) conference are invited to transform their stay into a family holiday and explore one of the UAE’s biggest and most popular tourist attractions.
More than 3,000 people from 110 countries, including business executives, politicians and experts, are due to take part in the annual international IIA conference, to be held at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from May 6 to 9.
With just a few days to go before the event begins, attendees are encouraged to make the most of their time in Dubai by extending their itineraries to include a trip to Dubai Parks and Resorts, the region’s largest integrated theme park destination, for them and their families.
Delegates at the IIA conference will be able to easily reach Dubai Parks and Resorts from the convention centre and enjoy a wide range of entertainment.
Located on Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai Parks and Resorts features MOTIONGATE™ Dubai – a unique theme park showcasing some of Hollywood’s most beloved characters from DreamWorks Animation, Columbia Pictures and Lionsgate – and BOLLYWOOD PARKS™ Dubai, a first-of-its-kind theme park that showcases rides and attractions based on some of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters. It also hosts LEGOLAND® Dubai, a unique, interactive theme park for families which brings the well-known LEGO® brick to life in a playful learning environment, in addition to the LEGOLAND® Water Park, the region’s first water park catering to families with children aged 2-12. The entire destination is connected by Riverland™ Dubai – a uniquely themed retail and dining district at the heart of Dubai Parks and Resorts. Guests can stay at the Lapita™ Hotel, a Polynesian themed family hotel that is part of the Marriott Autograph Collection. Expected to open in late 2019, Six Flags Dubai will be destination’s fifth theme park and the region’s first Six Flags theme park.
The largest theme park development in the Middle East, Dubai Parks and Resorts opened to the public in 2016. Spread over 25 million square feet and featuring more than 100 rides and attractions, it is one of the UAE’s major tourist attractions.
By encouraging business delegates to make time in their trip for family entertainment and leisure activities, tourism bosses hope more people will experience Dubai’s world-class landmarks and entertainment destinations all year round.
Ahmed Al Rayyes, Chief Commercial Officer, DXB Entertainments PJSC owner of Dubai Parks and Resorts said, “As the largest integrated theme park of the region, our destination becomes one of the key enablers in opening a new itinerary for excursions such as IIA 2018, by being able to share the amazing and unique new experiences we have available. We are happy to host the business minds who are helping shape Dubai’s future and hope to welcome more visitors who are traveling for business or leisure in the coming year.”
Abdul Qader, Chairman of the IIA’s UAE chapter said: “The Internal Auditors Association conference is one of the most important events on the IIA’s international calendar.
“We look forward to welcoming delegates from all over the world to Dubai to discuss the key issues facing the industry today, and the trends we should all prepare for in the future.”
Ayesha Bin Lootah, IIA UAE board member and International Conference Social Committee Chair, said: “The IIA event is a conference for everyone, and Dubai is a destination for everyone.
