Latest Offerings Support Diverse Applications, from Presentations to Movies and Gaming
Dubai, UAE, 27 May 2007: After more than doubling its projector market share in 2006, ViewSonic® Corp. today delivered on its aggressive commitment to bring more projector options to Middle East users in the office, on the road or at home, with six new projectors: the PJ503D, PJ506D/ PJ556D, PJ568D/PJ588D and PJ358.
The PJ503D, PJ506D, PJ556D, PJ568D and PJ588D incorporate Texas Instrument's DLP® technology, the industry's leading display capabilities with other ViewSonic features, to meet the diverse presentation and entertainment needs of offices, classrooms and homes.
"As ViewSonic rolls out new offerings for the business and education market, we're also increasing our focus on the home entertainment market," said Aaron Fright, Regional Manager, ViewSonic Middle East & Africa. "From fully featured, ceiling-mounted projectors for university lecture halls, to portable powerhouses for corporate road warriors, ViewSonic is continuing to deliver innovative display products for any application. Unlike many vendors focusing either on LCD or DLP technology, ViewSonic continues to offer its customers the best of each technology at a market leading price/performance ratio."
PJ503D, PJ506D and PJ556D - Versatility and ValueFor organisations that require versatility, portability and outstanding performance on a budget, the PJ503D, PJ506D and PJ556D include display features scaled to fit their needs. With plug-n-play designs that are easy to install and use, the 1500 lumen PJ503D and the 2000 lumen PJ506D feature an 800x600 SVGA native resolution, while the 2000 lumen PJ556D offers a native resolution of 1024x768 XGA. The projectors deliver bright images and clear video, along with a whisper mode to extend bulb life and reduce fan noise during important presentations.
PJ568D / PJ588D - DLP High-Performance WorkhorsesComing with a brand new, unique design, the powerful PJ568D and PJ588D respectively boast 2,500 and 3,000 lumens of brightness as well as a 2000:1 contrast ratio to display crisp, detailed animated presentations or video conference calls at a 1024x768 XGA native resolution. The projector supports multiple inputs, including RBG, composite and S-Video, and also can display video sources on a remote monitor to allow presenters to see what is being projected on the screen behind them.
For added convenience, users can unplug the projectors from the power source at the conclusion of a presentation without the usual 'cool down' time required by most standard projectors.
Their feature set also includes a Daylight mode; an Eco mode that can extend the life of the bulb up to 4,000 hours; and enhanced security features to prevent unauthorized usage and theft.
A unique feature for both models is an ambient light sensor that detects lighting conditions and automatically corrects picture settings to deliver optimum image quality in any setting, ideally complemented by the optional ViewPen to provide the users with an Interactive Whiteboard solution: the ViewPen acts as a virtual marker on the projected images, enabling the users to save their notes at the end of the presentation.
PJ358 - Portable and ProfessionalFor mobile workers or businesses seeking a versatile projector with a short-throw lens, the PJ358 LCD projector packs 2,000 lumens of brightness and a 1024x768 XGA resolution into a sleek, compact device weighing less than 2 kilos. Featuring exceptional versatility, the PJ358 has a USB port that allows users to present images including JPG and M-JPG directly from a USB flash drive, eliminating the need to travel with a PC. It can also project a 60-inch screen image from 1.5 meter away, allowing users to present big ideas in small rooms. Thanks to the projector's innovative electronics, the PJ358 will be ready within seconds after pushing the On button - and also integrates the new 'Unplug and Go' function. Rounding out the impressive feature list is PIN code security and a built-in transition detector that offers a high level of anti-theft protection. With a remote control, whisper mode and auto-keystone correction for easy set-up, the PJ358 offers features that fit a variety of business needs.
The new line is available now at specialised resellers and retailers across the region.
