Dubai, United Arab Emirates – Vezeeta, Middle East and Africa’s leading digital healthcare platform announced plans to kick off a recruitment drive across its footprint to immediately fill positions across various functions. Given the increased need for digital healthcare solutions, Telehealth and Online Pharmacy in light of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak, the recruitment drive in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Kenya and Nigeria aims to meet the rising consumer demand and support local governments in combatting the adverse economic impact and healthcare crisis presented by the pandemic.
Through virtual interviews and online tryouts, the company will be adding new talent to its Online Pharmacy business, as well as Product, Data Analytics, Engineering and other functions, while continuing to enable its workforce to work-from-home until further notice. The decision to keep its offices across MEA closed aligns with the company’s mission to protect the health and safety of its employees amid eased movement restrictions introduced by local governments. Vezeeta will continue to track local government guidelines and will take a phased approach to potentially open its regional offices, revisiting the matter towards the end of July 2020.
Vezeeta is also making provisions of country-specific office hours for employees who need to access the workspace for inevitable reasons on an appointment-only basis. Employees working on tasks that aren’t possible at home will be granted special permission to enter the office area, and be provided with masks, sanitizers and an upgraded layout to ensure appropriate social distancing measures and safety precautions.
“Our extensive experience with flexible and remote working helped us swiftly respond to the Covid-19 pandemic. Since instating work-from-home models across its footprint in March 2020, Vezeeta has been championing the well-being of its employees by introducing new initiatives to boost and maintain hyper productivity and morale. We foster a workplace culture that embraces change and innovation, and we look forward to welcoming new employees to add to our growing cohort of innovators,” added Bérengère Dumont, Vice President of People & Culture.
“Through virtual mental health and wellness sessions, online town halls, digital learning and development programs and professional counselling on managing teams remotely, we’re trying to make this new work structure as easy and productive as possible, and we will continue to do all that we can to ensure your safe transition back to normality when the time is right,” she added.
With Telehealth and Telemedicine laying at the epicenter of the new-normal of social distancing, Vezeeta’s platform has been constantly evolving to allow access to seamless, convenient and value-added medical services to all its users, from the safety and comfort of their homes. Vezeeta’s Telehealth solution allows users to consult with medical experts via phone or video chat options. Users can also schedule ‘Home Visits’ for in-person treatment or consultation for chronic illnesses and order their medications online from local pharmacies. Currently serving more than 5 million patients across 6 countries, Vezeeta is transforming the healthcare experience of patients, by digitally streamlining their healthcare journey.
