Dubai, November 17, 2011: The University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD), one of the  three authorized IELTS ((International English Language Testing System) centers in the UAE, will offer IELTS Testing at Continuing Education Center - Emirates College of Technology (CEC - ECT) premises at Hamdan Street in Abu Dhabi.

This follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between University of Wollongong in Dubai and CEC - ECT, a private college licensed by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

According to the MoU, both parties will promote the services of IELTS testing services in the emirate of Abu Dhabi at CEC - ECT through marketing campaigns.

"UOWD has won wide acclaim as a quality IELTS testing centre, and we are delighted to extend our services to the student community in Abu Dhabi through CEC - ECT," said Shanae Reed, Head of CLC, UOWD. "We will endeavour to apply the same professional standards at CEC - ECT that we provide at our centre on our campus at Knowledge Village."

IELTS tests are compulsory for students seeking admission to universities accredited by the UAE Ministry of Education and Scientific Research.

The UOWD IELTS Centre was recently included among the top nominee out of 58 audited IDP IELTS centers around the global network. IDP is the world's largest student placement and English Language testing services provider.

UOWD and CEC - ECT will also offer a variety of IELTS Preparation courses. This includes full-time, part time courses and private tuitions for both Academic and General Modules.
