Muscat - Taking part at the upcoming GHEDEX - the country's international higher education platform, the University of Hull recognises the Ministry of Education's vision and strategy in developing the academic and technical abilities of Omanis.
"The University has been participating regularly at GHEDEX since its inception', said Perihan Cousins, International Recruitment Manager - Gulf and Middle East at the University of Hull, UK.
"Through the years, we have seen that the higher education in Oman receives excellent attention. The Ministry of Higher Education offers a lot of support and encouragement to men and women who wish to further their education and enhance their career prospects. There is particular support to those candidates who can produce top quality research to contribute to an Omani knowledge economy. It is a wonderful vision and we are proud to have witnessed the success of the Ministry's strategy over the years. The University of Hull is pleased to contribute to it, albeit in a small way".
Speaking about GHEDEX, Perihan said "We participate because we believe that GHEDEX has become a well-known education event in the Sultanate of Oman and all students look forward to it. They know that this is an annual opportunity to find out more about international options for further and higher education".
A regular participant at the GHEDEX event, the University of Hull offers around 400 combinations of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes. "There are excellent new programmes offered by our Centre of Educational Studies, our highly recognised Law School as well as our Faculty of Health and Social Care and we are very keen on promoting those to students or interested ministries", Perihan said.
Examples of the courses offered at the University of Hull are the new MSc in Human Resource Management, the BSc Health Professional Studies, the BSc Nursing Studies, the MSc Public Health, MSc, Leadership in Health and Social Care, amongst many others.
