UAE to host World Airline Flight Dispatcher's Conference May 2007 in Dubai

UAE, April 18, 2007: The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) will be hosting the International Federation of Airline Dispatcher's Associations' (IFALDA) Annual General Meeting and World Airline Flight Dispatcher's Conference on May 7-9, 2007. The theme of the Conference is "Exploring New Frontiers in Flight Dispatch/Operational Control".

This World Conference is a very important event, offering aviation professionals from around the world an opportunity to experience the latest trends in airline operational control/flight dispatch, at a time of very dynamic change and new challenges in the airline industry.

Leading experts in airline operational control/flight dispatch will be speaking and participating.

Eng. Mohammed Abu Baker, Director Aviation Safety & Security of General Civil Aviation Authority Said: "Having the opportunity to host this international flight dispatchers conference in the UAE clearly signify the position that the UAE aviation industry has archived to be among the worlds best". "The role of flight dispatchers may not be known to the travelling public but their importance can be more emphasized in making sure that every flight is dispatched in a safe and secure manner."
