While Tunisia is preparing to launch Mega projects with a value of 50 billion dollars, coinciding with similar projects in Libya, Algeria and Morocco, the preparations for the tenth edition of the Mediterranean Building Exhibition "MEDIBAT 2009 in Sfax, Tunisia, from 4 to 7 March 2009 are accelerating. All of the exhibition spaces have been reserved by more than 300 exhibitors who have already registered, not counting the requests for participation of 25 thousand visitors from thirty destinations from The Gulf, Maghreb and Europe.

During this session, the exhibition will provide excellent opportunities to discover the latest products and the largest companies in the sectors of construction, engineering services, etc. Partnerships and offerings are important too, especially with the launch of a new generation of huge construction projects such as the Mediterranean Gate (Sama Dubai), Tunis Sports City (Abu Khateer), Bled El Ward in Ariana (Maabar Group), the Tunis Financial Harbour (GFH) and many others. There are also other infrastructure projects (roads and others) and different buildings. It should be noted that the countries of North Africa are currently experiencing a huge real estate investment, requiring major products and services.

This session is marked by three important events: First, "the1st Maghreb Building Fair under the auspices of the Maghreb Union and the ministers of housing in the Maghreb countries. Secondly, an economic forum, which aims to developing partnership opportunities and includes workshops organized by the Islamic Development Bank, as the Islamic Corporation for Private Sector Development will make a presentation on the mechanisms for private sector development, the African Development Bank and the European Bank of Investment. Finally, the Forum for the presentation of the latest technological developments and the scientific forum, in the presence of foreigners from several countries in Africa, Europe, Asia and the Gulf, in addition to investors and businessmen.

Note that the Mediterranean Building Exhibition is held once every two years and without interruption since 1991. The session (2007) saw the participation of 334 exhibitors from 26 countries and the number of visitors was for about 40 thousands, among them 30 thousands professionals. The occasion is important for product development in various industrial sectors related to construction and building relationships between professionals.
