NIMR, 14th March 2011 - TRUCKOMAN, the Sultanate's leading Oil and Gas Logistics provider, organised an awards ceremony in Nimr this week, to recognise and reward the achievements of company staff. The event was attended by chief guests from Petroleum Development Oman (PDO), Mr Abdulsattar Al-Murshidi, Well Engineering and Logistics Director and Mr Sulaiman al Shaqsi, Logistics Manager and Corporate Functional Discipline Head for Logistics, in addition to guests from Bahwan DHL Supply Chain.
Speaking after the event, Dr. Mohammed Musa Al-Yousef, Chairman of TRUCKOMAN, commended the staff, noting: "TRUCKOMAN's continued success since its establishment in 1978 is founded on the sincere efforts of our staff. Their continued dedication to company values is served with great solidarity and this ceremony has been organised to reward their remarkable efforts".
Over 100 Omani nationals and expatriate members of staff were presented with long service awards by Mr Sulaiman al Shaqsi, among them drivers, specialist equipment operators, foremen, plant operators and administrative staff. 10 special awards were also presented by Mr Abdulsattar Al-Murshidi for outstanding demonstration of professionalism in various categories. On the occation, Mr. Abdulsattar also gave a brief speech of appreciation and encouragement to all staff.
Following the presentations, Mr. Zahir bin Salem, representing all the staff, responded with a statement of thanks and appreciation, not only for the awards received, but for TRUCKOMAN's general commitment to the welfare of its employees: "The TRUCKOMAN staff would like to thank our Chairman and senior management for their observance of recent Ministry of Manpower initiatives. On the glorious occasion of the 40th National Day, we were pleased to receive special bonus packages. In response to the recent Royal Decrees, TRUCKOMAN was also one of the first companies to give generously and now more than 100 positions have been created for our citizens. TRUCKOMAN has always treated us with great respect and by the Grace of God we pledge our continued loyalty to the company and to His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said".
