Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, hosts the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market

Riyadh Saudi Arabia, 16 April 2009: Riyadh's Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, has reinforced its reputation as Saudi Arabia's leading hotel and conference venue by hosting the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market (STTIM) 2009 for the second year.

Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Governor of Riyadh, and organised by the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, STTIM 2009 is the annual flagship event for the tourism industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which took place from 12 to 16 April.

Al Faisaliah's famed Prince Sultan Grand Hall, the largest column-free space in the Kingdom, hosted the four-day event, which staged a travel mart, conferences and workshops led by prominent figures focusing on investment, accommodations, product development, and other related issues in Saudi Arabia's growing tourism industry.

"It is a great honour to host the Saudi Travel and Tourism Investment Market," said Wolfgang Pachler, Managing Director for Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel.  "The continued growth and success of the Saudi Arabian tourism industry is incredibly important to us."

Al Faisaliah Hotel, A Rosewood Hotel, is a landmark at the heart of the city's Olaya district.  In the 2008 World Travel Awards, the hotel was awarded Saudi Arabia's Leading Hotel and Saudi Arabia's Leading Business Hotel.

The hotel's Prince Sultan Grand Hall is the Kingdom's largest column-free public space, with a capacity for 4,000 delegates in conference style seating and banquets for 2,800 diners.  Recently, the 31st King Faisal International Prize awards ceremony was staged in the Hall before 1,000 guests including Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz.
