Thomas brdaric enjoyed desert safari, visited the palm & took aerial tour of dubai's world-class infrastructure

Oliver Kahn too in Dubai for a memorable holiday

Two of Germany's top football players, Mr. Thomas Brdaric and Mr. Oliver Kahn, are holidaying in Dubai and took time off to take a tour of the world-class infrastructure and attractions that attracts millions of visitors to Dubai from across the world.

A star member of the German National Football Team, Mr. Brdaric arrived in the emirate with his family and went on a thrilling desert safari and visited The Palm - billed as the Eighth Wonder of the World.

He also had the opportunity to explore one of the old world charms of Arabia - Falconry.

Organised by the Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in cooperation with the Dubai Police Air Wing, he enjoyed the aerial tour of the 'fascinating' Dubai and was briefed about the rapid developments that has made the emirate a sought-after business and leisure destination for Germans among other nationalities.

Mr. Oliver Kahn, German World Cup hero, also arrived in Dubai on a private visit and was received at the Dubai International Airport by the DTCM Manager Missions, Mr. Hamad bin Mejren, and DTCM Manager Visitors Information Bureaus, Mr. Salah Rashid Al Ansari.

Mr. Hamad said: "Dubai is a very popular holiday destination for Germans and the number of visitors from this top source market has been constantly increasing. Visits by celebrities like Mr. Brdaric and Mr. Kahn will further enhance awareness about Dubai and inspires other to visit the destination that has stunned the world tourism map through its phenomenal rise."

Meanwhile, preparations are progressing ahead in Dubai for hosting the second successive winter training camp of Bayern Munich, one of Europe's premier football clubs.

During their January 6 to 14th tour, the visitors will play friendly matches with the local teams. The visit has been arranged and sponsored by the DTCM in cooperation with the Dubai Police and Alpha Tours.

Year-round sunshine, impressive world-class infrastructure, superb sporting facilities and safety levels make Dubai an ideal destination for the sportsmen from different parts of the world.
