At Dubai Opera, guests can look forward to Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s Evita, which will run from 22 January to 3 February 2018, chronicling the life of Eva Perón, the first lady to Argentine president Juan Perón, who was popularly known as the “spiritual leader of the nation”.

In addition, Dubai Opera will present two masterpieces of the Ballet Russes, by multi-award winning artistic director and former Bolshoi Ballet star Andris Liepa. Guests will be swept away in a celebration of one of the world’s greatest-ever ballet ensembles, recreating performances of the legendary Sergei Diaghilev’s Chopiniana and The Firebird on three incredible evenings from 16 – 18 November 2017. Families with little ones will receive a special treat at Dubai Community Theatre and Arts Centre (DUCTAC), which is hosting George’s Marvellous Medicine that is returning to DUCTAC on 17 November, after several record-breaking shows in the city, packing in all the ingredients of a timeless children’s classic – colourful stage props, audience interaction, whimsical Roald Dahl rhymes and songs, and enchanting direction by award-winning children’s theatre director David Wood. Visitors can also look forward to The Al-Hamlet Summit (8 – 11 November 2017) by Kuwaiti playwright Sulayman Al Bassam, who has attempted a reworking of the famous Shakespearean play against the backdrop of a fictional contemporary Middle Eastern country.
