MenaITech Expands its Reach in the NGO Sector
16 February 2009, AMMAN - Tkiyet Um Ali selected Middle East & North Africa Internet Technologies (MenaITech) as its HR system vendor in order to automate and enhance its human capital processes by deploying the payroll and personnel solution MenaPay®.
Tkiyet Um Ali Director Mr. Ehab Al Deeb said, "Although our initial plan at the Tkiyet was to implement a basic payroll system that fits our minimum requirements, after viewing MenaITech's software we were overwhelmed with the comprehensiveness and intricate details that their application had to offer, tackling payroll and personnel cycles fully, workflows and many more. We therefore underwent the decision to select specialized and focused software that was not only state-of-the-art, but was locally-built that we take pride in using."
On his part, MenaITech CEO Dr. Bashar Hawamdeh said, "As a multi-company application, MenaITech HRMS caters for all sectors and industries within the Arab region. Therefore, our software needs no customizations for NGO's such as the Tkiyet since it is fully user-defined and parametric."
The first initiative of its kind in Jordan and in the Arab World, Tkiyet Um Ali provides food and services to the less privileged sectors of Jordanian society, the needy and the hungry. Originally conceptualized by Her Majesty Late Queen Alia Al Hussein, the Tkiyet is inspired by an Islamic concept of providing food for the poor. Today, Tkiyet Um Ali provides a ray of hope for Jordan's deprived, and seeks to serve as a model for hunger and relief initiatives across the rest of the Arab world.
The HRMS initiative was done as part of MenaITech's corporate social responsibility program to actively involve and engage itself in the Jordanian community and with the Jordanian people. MenaITech's non-governmental clientele base includes organizations such as Jordan River Foundation in Jordan and the Welfare Association in Palestine.
