DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, October 28, 2008 - The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina are proud to support and host the Inspire Dubai Awards. The Inspire Dubai Awards have been launched for the purpose of finding and honouring the city's unsung heroes. The Inspire Dubai initiative presents the city with the unique opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary deeds of its citizens - those who go beyond the call of duty to provide hope and inspiration to others.

Nominations from the general public will be assessed by a hand-picked panel of community leaders, with the nominees, and their work, being recognized at The Inspire Dubai Awards Ceremony to be held at The Westin on the 30th November 2008.

Inspire Dubai aims to recognise major achievements in the following categories : Life Saver of the Year, Guardian of the Year, Charity Worker of the Year, Educator of the Year, Inspiring Personality of the Year, Child of Bravery, Young Achiever of the Year, Environmental Achiever of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award and a Special Recognition Award.

Nominations are not restricted to a specific category. Both organisations and members of the public are encouraged to nominate people who they feel deserve to be recognised for their extraordinary achievements. Nominations can be submitted through the official website, www.inspiredubaiawards.com.

The event is organised by ITP Consumer publishing and takes place on the 30th November 2008.

The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina features 294 rooms, including 216 deluxe rooms, 52 Westin Executive rooms, and 24 suites, in addition to a spa, a health club, four bars and four themed restaurants.
