Qatar, Doha - The Pearl-Qatar, the most glamorous address in the Middle East, was the proud sponsor of the first Time Out Doha Awards, held at the W Hotel. The Time Out Doha Awards is unique in that it provides a definitive categorization of Qatar's wide dining scene. Trophies were awarded to a cross section of restaurants, which included various top restaurant names in as many as 18 categories; 7 categories in regional cuisine and 11 themed categories.  Fadi El Kik, Head of Business Development at UDC commented "The Pearl-Qatar continues to enthusiastically support diverse local initiatives. Our support for the Time Out Doha awards shows that a new standard in excellence has been set in Qatar's fine dining scene through these restaurants that have truly distinguished themselves."

Three restaurants at The Pearl-Qatar won 4 top awards - including the prestigious Restaurant of the Year award - in various categories:

·         Pampano 'Coastal Latin cuisine':  Restaurant of the year award; Best Seafood award

·         Tse Yang 'Chinese cuisine':  Best Newcomer award

·         Bice 'Italian cuisine':  Best Romantic award
