Region's only dedicated, comprehensive HVACR conference to highlight the critical nature of the role played by the refrigeration industry to ensure a robust food-supply chain in the GCC
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 21 May 2009: CPI Industry, the publisher of Climate Control Middle East, will be hosting a series of six panel discussions on refrigeration at C3 (The Climate Control Conference), on May 31 and June 1, 2009 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC).
Arguably, the event will be a first for the refrigeration sector in the Middle East; refrigeration as a topic has never had detailed exposure in the region. The panel discussions will focus on such issues as storage and ripening, food chilling, food freezing, pre-cooling, fumigation, and transportation and distribution of chilled and frozen food. The moderator of the panel discussions is Ghaleb Abusaa, formerly of Marco, in Saudi Arabia and currently the CEO of The Three Factors Company, in Jordan.
B Surendar, Editorial Director of CPI Industry, said: "Refrigeration plays a key role in ensuring a robust food-supply chain. The topics chosen for discussion at C3 have been ignored for long. They are relevant to the GCC, economic downturn or otherwise, considering that food is an essential commodity."
Added Ghaleb Abusaa: "The importance of refrigeration for the food industry cannot be overstated. From refrigerators at home to supermarkets, we need refrigeration for fruits, vegetables, meat and dairy products. The fish industry is another example where refrigeration is simply indispensable."
C3 enjoys the support of the HVACR industry. Trane is the Gold Sponsor, while TAS Middle East is the Silver Sponsor. ASHRAE is the Event Partner.
