Dubai, 05 November 2007:  Based in Bangkok, Thai Airways International continues to upgrade passenger services and comfort on all routes.

The Dubai-Bangkok route is currently served by the Airbus 330-300 aircraft, with two flights daily.  Recently introduced newly redesigned cabin interiors on THAI's entire fleet of aircraft offer a bright fresh décor with a contemporary Thai theme, ensuring a complete Thai hospitality experience throughout the flight.

Newly installed seating in Royal Economy Class is more spacious with extra width and leg room, plus soft blankets and pillows to encourage a relaxing journey, and ambient mood lighting to promote and enhance the overall feeling of comfort and well-being.

Passengers in the 42 Royal Silk Business Class seats on each flight from Dubai to Bangkok are treated to luxuriously commodious comfort with a host of additional benefits such as:-

  • priority flight and confirmed seat reservations
  • pre-ordering of special meal options
  • priority check-In, baggage handling and last-boarding privileges
  • fast-track clearance through immigration for both departing and arriving passengers in Bangkok
  • use of premium class airport lounges in Thais' major on-line destinations
  • spacious cabins, ambient lighting, additional storage space and spacious toilets
  • personal telephones in each seat
  • superbly tasteful Thai and Western cuisine
  • special entertainment from an onboard video library that includes five first-run movies, three classic films, one ballet or music video and one major sports event video

Royal Silk Class passengers also enjoy access to the sumptuous Royal Spa at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, - a haven of well-being with three luxuriously appointed spa suites providing gentle and relaxing massages using traditional techniques with pure herbal essence aromatherapy oils.  Located in Concourse D, the Royal Spa provides Royal Silk (business class) passengers with a complimentary 30 minute reflexology or neck & shoulder massage on a first-come first-served basis, with additional massage selections at nominal cost.  An ideal relaxation opportunity for transiting passengers, or those with time to spare in Bangkok.

THAI carried roughly 24,000 passengers from the Middle East to Bangkok during the first quarter 2007, an increase of almost 22% over the same period in 2006 bringing the airline's market share on the route to 53%.
