Tetra Pak will unveil its newest packaging line, the Tetra Pak A5; the next developments in its record breaking high-speed packaging line, the Tetra Pak A3/Speed; along with three major new packages and a host of innovative packaging solutions at this year's Anuga FoodTec, to be held in Cologne on April 4-7, 2006. More than 250,000 packages will be filled live each day at the Tetra Pak exhibit.
Under the banner of the Tetra Pak motto, "protects what's good," visitors to the company's 4,000-m exhibition stand will experience a complete portfolio of technology - from processing and packaging to food distribution - that Tetra Pak offers. They can discuss a variety of subjects - be it the latest retail trends, innovative packaging equipment, packaging design, technical service, opening systems or packaging recycling - with Tetra Pak experts from all over the world. The comprehensive range of information and advice provided at the stand is rounded off with tasting promotions and seminars. Visitors will see and experience first hand how Tetra Pak protects what's good across the value chain.
Ambient packaging systems
The Tetra AptivaO Aseptic carton package, with its unique fusion of carton sleeve and plastic top, and the Tetra GeminaO Aseptic, with an attractive, slender shape and sloped gable-top for better pouring, are two new packages that will make their debut at Anuga FoodTec. Tetra Aptiva Aseptic packages are produced on the new Tetra Pak? A5 packaging line, which will be shown for the first time at Anuga. Tetra GeminaO Aseptic packages are suitable for liquid dairy products as well as juices, nectars, and still drinks and are produced on the Tetra Pak? A3/Flex packaging line. This packaging line is now available worldwide and currently produces a total of 22 different Tetra Brik Aseptic and Tetra Prisma Aseptic packages, covering the largest product portfolio available today on one carton ambient packaging line. Another highlight of the exhibition is the Tetra Pak? A3/Speed. Achieving a new record of 15,000 per hour, this is the world's fastest aseptic carton filling machine for family packages. Tetra Pak will also launch the Tetra Fino Aseptic 500ml on the Tetra Pak A1 line.
Chilled packaging systems
At the Anuga FoodTec 2006 exhibition, visitors can experience the latest developments for chilled products packaged in cartons. On display will be an evolution of the Tetra Top? carton bottle with a quicker opening and a tougher top produced in a filling machine with a fully integrated capper. Tetra Rex? packages will be produced with the award winning Delta TwistCapO live for visitors to watch. The Tetra Brik? package lives up to its reputation for smart simplicity with SimplyTwist MaxiO, a cost-effective yet sophisticated new opening device.
Processing systems
On display will be a wide range of production solutions for dairy, cheese, beverage, prepared food, and ice cream. Various new products will be introduced: the Hoyer Frigus? KF continuous ice cream freezer, the Tetra Alfast? SpotOn milk fat standardisation unit and the high-capacity Tetra Plex? C15 plate heat exchanger. Many equipment upgrades, additional modules to existing solutions, and the automation platform Tetra PlantMaster? will be shown to highlight the commitment of Tetra Pak to deliver solutions and services aimed at increasing availability, minimising product loses and decreasing energy consumption for customers.
Tetra RecartO - the world's first retortable carton package for food
Since its debut at Anuga FoodTec 2003, the Tetra Recart package has been making its presence known with product launches around the world by major food manufacturers. Tetra Recart is produced on the Tetra Pak? R1 line which offers high-speed production, 24 000 packages per hour. This unique package concept opens up a world of exciting new product and brand revitalisation opportunities for canned food producers, enabling them to package meat, vegetables, pasta dishes, or tomato products in a carton package for ambient storage.
Anuga FoodTec will take place from April 4 - 7, 2006 in Cologne. Tetra Pak looks forward to welcoming visitors to its exhibition stand A030/F031, located in Hall 7. For more information about the participation of Tetra Pak in Anuga FoodTec, please contact your local Tetra Pak office.
