Dubai (United Arab Emirates): Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) announced the temporary closure of 11 customer service locations in the emirate of Dubai for annual stock-taking.

Laila Ali bin Hareb, Director of Customer Service Centers Dep't at RTA Corporate Support Services Sector said: "RTA will cease receiving any transactions involving payment of fees in 8 counters of Customer Service Centers Dep't, namely the Main Customer Service Center at Umm Ramool, and other Centers at Al-Ghubaiba, Karama, Tawar, Aweer, Dubai Taxi, Marine Transport and Licensing Buildings. All of these centers will be closed from 10.30 am to 02.30 pm on Wednesday 31 December 2008 for annual stock-taking.

"Licensing Counter at Union Cooperative Society (Safa Branch) closed on Thursday 25 December 2008 from 09.00 am to 09.00 pm of the same day. Visitors and clients will be entertained in the alternative Jumeirah Plaza Center at Jumeirah Road. Licensing Counter at Union Cooperative Society (Al-Tawar Branch) will be closed on Sunday 28/12/2008 from 07.30 am to 02.30 pm of the same day. Customers will be served in the alternative Deira Licensing Center (behind Dubai Police General HQ building).

"This closure will be communicated to all customers & the public by means of ads published in the daily papers in both Arabic & English languages, as well as internal ads posted in the said Centers and RTA Call Center.

"Customers and all the public are called to report to the alternative centers or other branches of RTA Customer Service Centers to have their transactions processed." added Laila.
