Ajman - February 17, 2008: Ajman-based construction amalgam, Tech Group, has announced the signing of AED 45 million deal with Italian firm, Soilmec, for the purchase of 11 piling machines. The machines will contribute significantly to the operations expansion of Piling Tech, a subsidiary of Tech Group, and one of 7 specialist companies in the construction field.
Tech Group CEO, Ali Ghaleb Jaber, explained that the acquisition of these machines forms part of the Group's strategy for coping with the heavy demand for contracting services brought about by the ongoing regional real estate boom, saying, "We hear of new real estate projects being launched almost every other day. The property boom is here to stay, and the increased demand for high-quality contracting services has been a major catalyst for the expansion of our operations. These new machines will play a vital role in ensuring that Piling Tech - and, by extension, the entire Tech Group - maintains its position as a leader in the construction sector."
The purchase of these eleven machines brings the total number of piling machines in Piling Tech's repository to 30, substantially increasing the firm's delivery capacity and expediting the piling process overall.
"With this many pile drivers at our disposal, the entire piling process can be completed much more efficiently, leading to faster completion of foundation construction. This, of course, will have a knock-on effect, enabling developers and contractors to complete their projects sooner, and thus to make an impressive dent in the supply-demand imbalance currently faced by the region's property sector," Mr. Jaber added.
From his side, Dr. Abdel Khalek Majeed Sultan, General Manager of Piling Tech, said, "The main factor that made us decide to buy 11 piling machines at a cost of AED 45 million is the steady boom of the real estate projects that are on the rise throughout the UAE. Each of these projects was launched through various parties in the country, and all of them serve to achieve excellence".
