Renowned perfume makers, Syed Junaid Alam will be hosting the 5th Annual Quran Recitation contest under the patronage of H.H. Shaikh Abdulla bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate at the Ahmed Al Fateh Islamic Center next week.
The preliminary rounds of the competition take place on Sunday 25th November, 2007 till Wednesday 28th November, 2007 with the finals taking place on Thursday 29th November, 2007. Sponsored by Syed Junaid Alam for the fifth consecutive year, the contest is organized in collaboration with the Holy Quran Custody Society and will showcase talents from across 6 GCC countries in addition to Jordan, Yemen, Pakistan, Lebanon, Palestine and Iraq.
The Quran recitals will be judged by judging committees comprising of Dr. Ebrahim Al Dossary from Saudi Arabia, Shaikh Mohammed Amin Satawy from Egypt, Shaikh Osman Zakariya from Algeria and Shaikh Khalid Al Khaya from Bahrain
The results of the competition will be announced on Thursday, November 29th, 2007 which will be followed by a prize distribution ceremony where prize worth BD 55,000 will be awarded to participants and winners.
