Manama, Bahrain : stc Bahrain, a world-class digital enabler, has announced the launch of a first-of-its-kind WTTx (Wireless to everything) provisioning solution in the region. This new solution was developed in collaboration with Huawei, a leading global provider of ICT infrastructure and smart devices. The new advanced innovative tool is designed to improve customer’s experience by providing a pre-evaluation and ongoing development for Home Broadband users across the Kingdom.
The new AI-based automation tool is a fully digitized end-to-end solution that provides real-time updated broadband coverage and throughput map results, that facilitate home broadband service provisions based on customer’s data. The new tool will allow stc Bahrain to recommend the most suitable packages for each customer, explaining the quality of service they will get based on their location.
Additionally, the results generated are integrated by stc Bahrain’s systems in which the machine learning device provides feedback as to whether there is a need to accelerate the use of 5G, given that the demand is higher in certain areas. Hence it speeds up the adoption of home broadband advanced services based on 5G networks in Bahrain.
Commenting on the new service, Eng. Nezar Banabeela, stc Bahrain CEO said, “We are pleased to launch this new first of a kind solution in Bahrain and in the region. The deployment of WTTx solutions will enhance the overall broadband experience. By adopting this solution, customers can now enjoy a seamless digitized end-to-end experience with reliable home broadband input ready to be used and installed at their premises.
The new tool is now fully launched in Bahrain this year and is available in stc Bahrain’s retail shops. The second phase of this project will be launched soon in which it will provide a more in-depth analysis and evaluation to further enhance broadband services across Bahrain in alignment with vision 2030.
