UK pressure ulcer specialist, Rober, is delighted to be showcasing its pioneering Total Heel Protection (THP) pressure ulcer mattress at Arab Health 2016.
The innovative mattress, AIRSTREAM THP, is a new generation, 2 cell-cycle alternating mattress featuring a separate heel zone and designed to offer complete pressure elimination therapy to patients.
The independently managed heel zone prevents pressure injuries from occurring and helps to accelerate the healing of existing pressure injuries in the lower limbs.
The THP mattress uses high-speed technology to stimulate reactive hyperaemia and offers total pressure relief to vulnerable tissues of the heel.
The innovative mattress helps to overcome issues that can occur when the heel is left unsupported and weight is concentrated on the Achilles tendon. This also negates the need for patients' lower limbs to be elevated.
