Sofitel The Palm Dubai's continued efforts in utilizing eco-friendly and sustainable modern means in its operations has once again reaped the recognition for its efforts. This year, at the Middle East Hotel Awards, Sofitel The Palm Dubai has won the title of Best Environmental Innovation and Best Use of Innovative Technology.
The awards recognize excellence in concept, design, quality, sustainability and guest experience within a hotel environment. Furthermore, unlike other awards, there is only one winner per category and the trophy is attributed following a thorough documentation review performed by a professional jury.
Rohit Salunke, the Resort Director of Engineering, was enthusiastic about achieving a brand new category award - Best Environmental Innovation. He further added, "We believe sustainability is not only a corporate responsibility but a global responsibility of everyone living on this planet. It's important that with every step forward we ensure having the best energy efficient technology within the design and also follow the best sustainability practices as part of our normal daily routine."

Guests coming to the resort today appreciate the fact that we have made every effort not only to create awareness on sustainability but also to demonstrate it through the achievement of the prestigious Green Globe certification within just six months of its operation."
