Siemon recently announced a series of 'expert seminars' to be held during May across the Middle East and Africa to deliver qualified learning on data centre architecture and efficiency, convergence, 10Gb/s migration, next generation infrastructure and future-ready cable sharing design. The IT infrastructure specialist today disclosed that it will be partnering with BT, Maxxess and other technical experts to host the series and confirmed the venues for the lecture tour.
Spanning centres in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kenya and South Africa, the series of seminars will be hosted by distinguished industry speaker John Siemon, chief technology officer at Siemon. Internationally recognised, he has served on industry standards boards since 1988 and held a number of leadership positions, including four separate chairman positions with the TIA, ISO/IEC and BICSI.
The series launches in Saudi Arabia where Siemon will partner with BT and Maxxess. It begins at the Radisson Blu in Riyadh on Sunday 6 May before moving to Jeddah on Monday 7 May. Qatar is the next destination where Siemon and Q-Soft will jointly host the 'Expert Seminar' at the Marriott in Doha on Wednesday 9 May. On Sunday 13 May, Siemon partners with Bahwan and Nasma at the Shangri-La Resort in Muscat, Oman. The tour then moves to Africa on Tuesday 15 May in Nairobi, Kenya, where the event will be delivered by Siemon and Coast at Fairmont The Norfolk Hotel, and concludes on Thursday 17 May in Johannesburg, South Africa at the Radisson Blu Sandton.
The series entitled 'Infrastructure Expert' has been designed, says Siemon, to update attendees on the hottest topics in the market: 10Gb/s-ready will be a key theme as will data centre design and optimisation, looking towards 40Gb/s. The latest information on industry standards will be presented and Siemon claims that all the academic and theoretical content will be supported and brought to life by real-world application stories.
Attendance is free by registered application and places are strictly limited. Delegates are expected to include industry professionals from data centres, infrastructure, networking and IT, holding CIO, CTO, management and consultant titles. The programme runs throughout the morning (0830-1400) at each Middle Eastern destination and Johannesburg, and will conclude with lunch. In Nairobi the schedule is set for 1730-2100, with dinner to follow. On each date attendees are invited to join the speakers following the formal lectures, with an exclusive opportunity to gain expert views and insight first hand.
