In participation of mosque goers and country's visitors from Islamic communities around the world

Sharjah - Sharjah Radio, a radio station by the Sharjah Media Corporation, is gearing up to present the 4th series of its highly popular programme'KhitmaRamadaniya' (Reciting the Entire Quran in Ramadan) during the forthcoming month of Ramadan.

Reciter Sheikh Sherzad Abdulrahman will accompany listeners with a journey to complete the entire Holy Quran by reading one part per day throughout the month. The programme will see wide participation from mosque goers and guests from different Islamic communities around the world. The programme will be broadcast from Emam Ahmed binHanbal Mosque in Sharjah.  

The programme aims to support listeners and participants in reciting the Holy Quran, by correcting their reciting and phonetic pronunciation. The programme completes the entire holy Quran by reciting one part over the course of one hour everyday from Asr time to before Al Mughrib prayer. The reciting will be accompanied by interpretation, Quranic stories and various instructions from real life. The programme caters to the needs of various educational levels, ages, languages, and needs. Participants will be provided with comments on their performance.

Speaking on the occasion, Reciter Sheikh Sherzad Abdulrahman, who prepares and presents KhitmaRamadaniya (Reciting the Entire Quran in Ramadan) program on Sharjah Radio, said: "Ramadan has a special atmosphere in all aspects in the country. There is nodoubt, people will need some instruction on reciting the Quran during Ramadan, the season of the Holy Quran when people recite Quran more than other times. As the programmeis already overwhelmingly popular, we expect it will continue this great success this year and will achieve reach the largest possible group of listeners inside the UAE and abroad."

Reciter Sheikh Sherzad Abdulrahman added: "The programmehas contributed to discovering gifted voices and guiding them to work in media or mosques. Many of those talents have published records. We have guided the best competitors to take part in the Quran prize competitions which are organised in the country, and we are happy to see many of them achieving excellent results. We have the ambition to bring this programme to viewers through Sharjah TV in the next Ramadan due to the special atmosphere of this programme and its remarkable results in the fields of reading, educational and awareness."

Famous Quran reciters from the Islamic world take part in the programme and add an element of excitement and support. Many visitors to the country in Ramadan from the Islamic communities around the world also participate in the programme and speak about their various activities and projects and clarify the importance of Islamic teachings and how they spread these teachings in their countries to introduce the real values of Islam to their countries.

The programme will organise two episodes for reading, designed for various age groups of reciters, including the little reciter, which is extremely popular among children. This year, the programme will present valuable prizes to recognise best performing reciters and best voices among many other prize categories.
