JEDDAH, KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA, May 05, 2011: Zuhair Fayez Partnership (ZFP), one of Saudi Arabia's most successful consultancy firms specializing in Architecture, Engineering & Information Systems, is set to deploy Avaya's Virtual Service Platform (VSP) 9000 to deliver high-performance and high-availability Ethernet switching as the company moves toward a next-generation virtualized data center environment. Aimed at simplifying ZFP's network infrastructure operations, the Avaya deployment, which will be managed by platinum-level partner BMC, is anticipated to deliver significant operational and maintenance savings as well as a measurable increase in ZFP's business performance.
Serving 3000 users at five main branches and 20 remote sites, ZFP's Avaya infrastructure will enable the company to provide virtual services in a cloud-based environment and maximize the efficiency of its existing IT resources. The Avaya VSP 9000, a key element of Avaya's Virtual Enterprise Network Architecture (VENA) data networking strategy, will support ZFP users that require round-the-clock access to key applications. The Avaya solution, to be deployed by partner BMC, will reduce power consumption, alleviate data center complexity and deliver ultra-reliable system uptime. It will also help address ZFP's future needs with support for the emerging 40 and 100 Gigabit Ethernet standards.
