Plans implementation starting with Food& Agriculture portfolio


Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, May 18 2004:   The world’s leading ERP major, SAP AG’s exclusive regional distributor, SAP Arabia, today announced that Saudi Arabia’s reputed and one of the pioneering business houses, the Dabbagh Group, has selected mySAP Business Suite to integrate its business processes for sharper competitive edge and for faster response time to the market demands, eyeing higher profitability for the company.
 
Disclosing the details of the Dabbagh Group’s decision to go live with mySAP Business Suite, Mr. Mohammed Al Batal, Sales Manager, SAP Arabia said that the business house will go with ERP implementation starting with its Food and Agriculture portfolio of business and later would go for scaling up in a phased manner.

The Dabbagh Group’s Food & Agriculture portfolio is actively involved in the production and marketing of food products, processed livestock, animal feed, veterinary medicines and the distribution of agricultural equipment.

Mr. Wolfe said that the implementation of mySAP Business Suite will provide accurate real-time information for customers and end-users which will help improve process management by applying SAP Business Processes.
 
Dabbagh Group’s SFC, famed for its Tanmiah and Supreme Meat brands, is one of the largest producers of fresh poultry in the Middle East and focuses on the production and marketing of food products and processes livestock.  ADC produces, markets and distributes animal feeds and concentrates, veterinary medicines and vaccines as well as distributing agricultural equipment from global principals.

He said after the successful completion of the initial phase of implementation, various enhancements will be added on to each department of the Food & Agriculture portfolio to fine-tune the functionality of the ERP solution.
