Samsung Electronics Strengthens Color Laser Offerings with Compact Size Color Laser Multi-function Printers

Dubai - Samsung Electronics introduced its latest compact color laser multi-function printer (CLMFP) to the Middle Eastern market, extending its rosters in color laser printers.

The compactness and versatility of the much-anticipated CLMFP, CLX-3160 Series, makes it the ultimate choice for SMB and small workgroups' comprehensive printing solutions.

As Samsung's first CLMFP, the CLX-3160 series offers two different models: The 3-in-1 CLX-3160N (Print-copy-scan) and the 4-in-1 CLX-3160FN (Print-copy-scan-fax). The CLX-3160 series print four pages per minute A4 color and 16 pages black and white in A4, fast enough for day-to-day document printing with occasional color printing.

Following on from the CLP-300 series, Samsung's patented NO-NOIS^TM technology played a major role in permitting a 30 percent reduction in size and a 33 percent reduction in weight over its competitors. Users can also expect the lowest noise level amongst its peers. With its simple interior structure design and its innovative bottle-shape toner, the CLX-3160 series also offers outstanding user convenience in maintenance - i.e. easier toner change and less trouble in paper handling.

But in this small footprint Samsung has packed a full battery of productivity-enhancing tools that only larger laser multi-function printers offered in the past.

Users across the Middle East, especially small workgroups, will find the series' built-in network connectivity and its ingenious digital scanning capabilities - scan-to-email and scan-to-network, which allows users to send scanned image from the printer via e-mail and network - helpful in improving productivity. Samsung's unique USB Direct functions will also enable PC-less scanning to and printing from USB memory. Supporting PictBridge, an industry standard to connect digital imaging devices to printing devices, the CLX-3160 series can quickly and easily print images in digital camera with a simple connection to the printer's USB port.

The CLX-3160 series will be available in selected outlets in the Middle East from January 2007 at a price of AED 2829.
