Amman, Jordan: LG Electronics (LGE) and PRADA SpA (PRADA) stated that they expect more than 700,000 units of the PRADA Phone by LGE to be sold by the end of the current year.
In March 2007, the PRADA Phone by LGE was fist launched in Italy, UK, France and Germany alongside other countries in Asia. Following significant demand, it was then subsequently introduced in other European, Asian and Latin American markets. Based on the high demand this handset reaped in these markets, LGE will launch this new mobile handset in China, one of the fastest growing markets for mobile phones.
The PRADA Phone by LGE has been recognized as a technological breakthrough, and this innovative approach has been followed by other players in the course of the year. Thanks to the introduction of the world's first touch screen technology, which eliminated the conventional keypad and which allowed advanced touch interface on a large LCD screen, the phone not only provides a platform for new design opportunities but also opens new doors to diverse multimedia experiences.
