Continuing investments in restructuring to drive ongoing growth and expansion

Sabre Travel Network Middle East has announced the promotion of Quintin M Scholtz to Regional Manager, UAE, Oman and Qatar.  In this new role Mr Scholtz will assume increased responsibilities as part of a restructuring designed to drive Sabre's ongoing growth and expansion.

Mr Scholtz will be responsible for leading enlarged sales, IT and support teams to serve the increasing travel and distribution needs of Sabre Travel Network's airline and travel industry customers in UAE, Oman and Qatar.

"This promotion is representative of our commitment to the region and reflects the success of the strategic investments we have made to increase our in-country presence and enhance our local and regional capabilities. Mr Scholtz is part of a management team overseeing the company's operations in 11 countries across the MENA region. " said Daniel Naoumovitch, chief executive officer of Sabre Travel Network Middle East.

His added responsibilities build upon his earlier career achievements with Sabre where he played an integral role in growing the company's market share across UAE, Oman and Qatar.  Previously, Mr Scholtz held senior level assignments as part of a Transaction Program Facility (TPF) Programmer team to convert South African Airways' host to the Airline Control System (ALCS).  He was also part of a steering committee to build the largest IP network of any global distribution system (GDS) in the EMEA region.  He has also managed distribution companies for a multinational GDS in Africa.
