Guest fitness forms an unusual pillar of The Westin Dubai's offerings
DUBAI, United Arab Emirates - 35 employees of the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina participated in the Standard Chartered Dubai Marathon on January 18, under the mantle of RunWestinTM, and emphasising that fitness forms an integral component of the hotel's famed value offering to guests.

RunWestin will feature a team of 35 employees from Dubai's newest beach property, and the marathon runners will embody the universal RunWestin concept of 'rising to new challenges every day with a fitness routine that is both challenging and rewarding.'
According to Scully, fitness is an essential component of the hotel's legendary guest services menu, with a dedicated 'Running Hotel Concierge' featuring high on the list of their special guest services. "A trained fitness expert has been allocated to this role, and like elsewhere in the world, Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Hotel & Resort will offer guests a personal brand of care and instruction in fitness through our ongoing RunWestin programme. Guests can choose to join him on morning runs, or simply seek his professional advice on how best to stay fit while travelling. We also provide maps of scenic run routes in the city for committed runners," he said.
Inside the hotel, WestinWORKOUT will feature state-of-the-art equipment and high-performance workouts as the perfect solution for people committed to maintaining personal wellness.
The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina will offer the full array of Westin's other signature products, services and amenities including The Heavenly Bed, Unwind, Heavenly Spa, Kids Club, One Call, Service Express,Express Checkout, and the new Sensory Welcome, comprising white tea scents, mood music, soft lighting and botanical products.
The property will feature 294 rooms, including 216 deluxe rooms, 52 Westin Executive rooms, and 24 suites, apart from a spa, a health club, four bars and four themed restaurants. State-of-the-art conference and banqueting facilities include an 8,999 square feet ballroom, an Italian designed conference centre with 7 meeting rooms, an outdoor beachside amphitheatre, and a variety of lawn and barbecue locations accommodating up to 5,000 guests.
The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort and Marina is located on a stunning 1,200 metre private shoreline, and will feature a 238-berth marina, five swimming pools, a water sports centre, a sailing academy, and facilities for deep sea fishing, golf and polo. The hotel is expected to open during the second quarter of 2008.
