Dubai (United Arab Emirates): Customer Service Centers Dep't, Corporate Support Services Sector at Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) introduced a host of services across various customer service centers. These include exclusive parking & counters for people with special needs, a counter for ladies and extra reception desks.

"Customer Service Centers Dep't is keen on providing distinguished services to customers according to the best methods applicable in this regard. The objective is to deliver distinguished services to all categories of customers; who are the backbone of the RTA" said Laila Hareb, Director of Customer Service Centers Dep't.

"Recently the Dep't made several achievements directed to boost customer service. Among these is the provision of four parking slots for special needs customers and a dedicated counter to receive them at Licensing Agency premises, Deira so as to offer them all facilities needed. RTA is assigning utmost importance to this category of the community in implementation of the Federal Law No. 29/2006 regarding provision of facilities needed by people with special needs throughout road projects and transport means such as the metro, public buses, marine transport modes and taxis. This signals the importance of integrating this category with the community so that it can play a vital and active role in the development drive and economic growth of the UAE.

"A dedicated reception desk has been provided at the premises of Licensing Agency in Deira to offer exclusive service to this category of customers so that they can go about their business smoothly. The number of customer reception desks has also been increased from three to four to enable prompt delivery of customer services.

"Upgrading the performance of subsidiary customer service centers, which have now reached 64 subsidiary centers across the emirate of Dubai, reflects the intention of the RTA to facilitate the provision high demand services to customers. These centers are meant to provide diverse services to customers in some commercial outlets and petrol stations such as EPCO (Tasjeel), Emarat (Shamil), and stations of public buses & abras such that they will be accessible to all.
