Royal Jet appoints Dnata as its General Sales Agent

11th January 2005, Dubai : His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, Chairman of the Emirates Group, and His Excellency Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Chairman of Royal Jet, today opened Royal Jet's new office in Dubai.  

Royal Jet is a luxury aircraft charter service based in the UAE. The new office will be managed by Dnata, one of the most successful suppliers of air travel services in the Middle East, and Royal Jet's General Sales Agent in Dubai and the Northern Emirates.  

Ammar Balkar, VP Sales & Marketing, Royal Jet said: "We are pleased to open our new Dubai sales office, which will cater to the strong demand for high-end luxury leisure and business VIP jet charter. Since our inauguration in May 2003, Royal Jet has grown from strength to strength.  To meet this growth, we have expanded to set up sales offices outside our Abu Dhabi base. This new Dubai office is our second after Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait's will follow shortly."

Customers can call and book Royal Jet flights through a dedicated telephone line (+971-4-3166161) set up at Dnata's 24-hour call centre in Dubai. This call centre is manned by multi-lingual staff, fully trained and geared to meet the requirements of the local market. Dnata will also organise training workshops for corporate secretaries to enable them to book charters with ease.

Royal Jet started operations in May 2003 with a 42-seat Boeing Business Jet (BBJ), the modern, ultra-luxurious version of the Boeing 737-700. In August 2003, Royal Jet became the launch customer of the Gulfstream (G300), the latest version of the popular GIV. In August and September 2003, the first two G300s were introduced. In 2004, Royal Jet added a second 42-seat Boeing Business Jet (BBJ).  A Bombardier Challenger 300 (CL300) aircraft and a third BBJ will join the fleet in June 2005, as will an Italian Piaggio Avanti P180 which Royal Jet will be managing starting from March this year.  Royal Jet has already won awards for its luxury operations and also operates Royal Med, its successful medical evacuation operation.
