Amman-Jordan: Jordan Flight Catering Company (JFCCO) trading as Alpha Flight Services has secured a contract extension with Royal Jordanian for the exclusive provision of in-flight catering and ancillary services for the RJ flights departing from Queen Alia International Airport and the other Jordanian airports.
Through the 10-year agreement, starting with August 2011 - the current agreement's end term date- Royal Jordanian will benefit from improved commercial terms. Alpha Flight Services will give the airline the opportunity to purchase in-flight catering at favored prices including volume discount, in recognition of the growing number of passengers year after another.
The RJ president/CEO Hussein Dabbas expressed satisfaction at reaching this agreement, indicating that the compelling combination of Alpha's service excellence, proactive partnership and the right commercial terms led to the decision to enter an extended term.
RJ and Alpha will continue its strategic relationship in what has become a transparent and innovative partnership, he added. Under the renewed agreement, RJ will grow its strategic partnership with Alpha through an increased equity holding in JFCCO to become 30% after it was 20% following the 2001 privatization of JFCCO, formally Royal Jordanian's in-flight catering department.
Dabbas stressed his overriding aim of offering the best services to the passengers on ground and in air, particularly catering services, for which RJ has been renowned for through its long history of excellence.
"Royal Jordanian select its food and beverage offerings for passengers to best suit their known taste and traditions, considering with great care passenger feedback from the regular onboard surveys designed to measure passenger satisfaction," said Dabbas.
The agreement includes the possibility of catering services provision to the RJ flights from other international airports. He indicated that Alpha will soon start to cater for the RJ flights from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Amman, in addition to catering logistics. Additionally, Alpha offers all catering services in RJ's business class lounge (Crown lounge) at Queen Alia International Airport.

Wilton also commented that through extending their exclusive supply agreement it remains Alpha constant endeavor to support RJ in the reputation it enjoys for service excellence among its partners in the oneworld airline alliance.
Jordan Flight Catering company, a Free Zone entity trading as Alpha Flight Services, has three shareholders in Jordan: Royal Jordanian, Alpha and Eastern Aviation Investments.
