Ras Al Khaimah -  12 January 2015: Rixos Bab Al Bahr Hotel in Ras Al Khaimah recorded relatively high occupancy rates of more than 60 per cent in its first year of business.

"We expect growth to continue this year given the strong tourism season in Ras Al Khaimah and other parts of the UAE," its general manager Haitham Omar said, adding that the hotel is attracting a large number of visitors and tourists from the UAE, other GCC countries as well as Europe and Asia.

Rixos, the second Turkish hotel in the UAE, has been a key destination for families and other guests given its distinguished and unique services, including one-time pay that includes the room rate plus meals and beverage--the first such service in the UAE.

"These services have been highly welcomed by the guests...they are based on the philosophy of the genuine Turkish hospitality," Mr Omar said.

The hotel, which includes three pyramid-shaped buildings, comprises 650 rooms overlooking the Gulf water and RAK beaches besides SPA, conference halls, a swimming pool, Moroccan baths, sport facilities and children clubs. The hotel won the prize of the best resort in 2014 by the Russian tour firm, Pegas Touristik, the second award to be given to the hotel since it was launched last year.
