Saudi Arabia will host on 21 December 2003 a Formula 1 Race Car for the first time in the Kingdom sponsored by Red Bull, the Austrian's leading energy drink in the world. The car's tour will continue for 38 days and will include Jeddah, Riyadh and Khobar.
Red Bull will present its Super Formula 1 car for the first time to the Saudi public in several top locations in the above mentioned three cities so as to enable them closely look at the said car and subsequently try the latest Virtual game of Formula 1 on Sony's Play Station.
The schedule of the said car's tour will be as follows :
- Jeddah : From 21 December 2003 till January 2nd 2004 in Jeddah Exhibitions Cneter, Hera International Shopping Center , King Abdul Aziz University, Danoub Supermarket in Tahliah and Jeddah Bowliing World Center.
- Riyadh : From 5 to 16 January 2004 in Al-Faisaliah Center, Imam University, King Saud University, Kingdom's Center and Arabah Petroulium Station.
- Khobar : From 18 till 30 January 2004 to include King Fahad University, Rashid Shppoing Mall, Giant Stores In Raka, King Faisal University and Al-Waha Shopping Center.
Meanwhile, the Arab World is preparing to host Formula One 1st international Race in Bahrain in May 2004. The participants of this unique event, will include a selected number of Formula One world one such as Sauber Petronas team sponsored by Red Bull .
It is worth mentioning that the Saudis are highly interested in cars' racing especially Formula One. However, the majority of them have not been given the chance to attend or watch closely such races.
Accordingly, Red Bull has decided to present Formula One car in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to give more chance and idea for the highest number of Saudi youths about such type of races which brings more enthusiasm, strength and distinction in the sport of cars' racing.
