Following the recent opening of the customer service centre in LuLu Hypermarket on 12 October 2004, Qtel opened another new customer service centre today (14 October 2004) at the Hayat Plaza shopping mall at Al Wa'ab in Doha.
The Qtel customer service centre at Hayat Plaza was opened by Qtel Chairman, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani and was attended by other key officials from the company.
Speaking at the opening of the customer service centre at Hayat Plaza, Qtel Chairman Sheikh Abdullah Bin Mohammed Bin Saud Al Thani said, "I am very pleased to be a part of extending our support towards enriching the customer experience. We have always been committed to offering high-levels of customer service to the public and meeting our customers' needs is our main concern.
"Convenience is one of the key aspects we look at when it comes to servicing our valued customers and by opening up customer service centres in key shopping districts of Qatar we have reaffirmed this commitment," Sheikh Abdullah added.
"The Board of Directors at Qtel have stressed the need to winning and retaining customer loyalty which is the key to Qtel's success and we can only achieve this by exceeding our customers expectations and providing them with the very best in products and services at competitive prices.
"We have embarked on a series of upgrade projects for all our customer service centres. We continue to train and develop our customer facing staff, whom we consider the faces of Qtel, to address our customers concerns on time in a friendly efficient manner, "Sheikh Abdullah concluded.
In the past two years Qtel has opened or upgraded customer service centres in all the major shopping areas in Doha like City Centre, Landmark, LuLu Hypermarket and Al Sadd. The Musheirab customer service centre has been upgraded to a 24 hour service centre which is open 7 days a week.
The customer facility at Hayat Plaza offers billing services and subscription for all services. It has the latest customer friendly technology like the 'queuematic' automated ticketing system. Instead of standing in long queues, customers can now simply take a ticket which tells them how long they are likely to wait and how many people are ahead of them in the queue.
The centre at Hayat Plaza will be open to customers 12 hours a day, Saturday to Thursday, from 10am to 10pm, and from 4pm to 10pm on Fridays. However timings for Ramadan will be from 10am to 3pm in the mornings and 8pm to 12pm in the evenings from Saturday to Thursday. On Friday the customer service centre will be open in the evenings only from 8pm to 12pm.
