The Seminar is a World-Class Activity Providing Specialist Training for Professional Conference Organizers
Doha, 4th March, 2015: Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA) announced it will be hosting on 10-11 March, at Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC), an International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO) Regional Seminar, entitled "Delivering Professional Congress Organization: Engaging All".
As the entity in charge of planning, regulating, and promoting sustainable tourism in Qatar, QTA's utmost objective has always been to make global and regional business events held in Qatar a success.
As part of the National Tourism Sector Strategy 2030, QTA exerted huge efforts to support the MICE sector, ultimately leading to a successful and sustainable tourism industry presenting the development of the sector in Qatar. Within this framework, QTA voiced its keenness to host such seminars allowing the exchange of views and discussions with decision-makers and event organizers to serve and develop the MICE industry based on international standards.
IAPCO was founded in 1968 by professionals for professionals engaged in the organization and management of international congresses, conventions and special events.
The IAPCO Regional Seminar will provide specialized training for all those who are involved in the Meetings, incentives, conferencing, and exhibitions (MICE) industry, including professional conference organizers (PCOs), destination management companies (DMCs), convention and visitor bureaus, venue operators, and exhibition management companies.
QTA called on all its stakeholders and partners from the private and public sectors to attend the seminar, as it will provide them with invaluable information and advice on the latest methods and trends of the MICE business. QTA also clarified that the seminar is specifically tailored to suit Qatari and Gulf participants' desire for world-class knowledge, training and best practices in the field.
IAPCO's education program is regulated by the IAPCO Training Academy where over 1,700 people worldwide have obtained an IAPCO Seminar certificate of Attendance. Since 1975, when the first IAPCO seminar on Professional Congress Organization was held, IAPCO has built a reputation second to none in the field of international meetings management training.
IAPCO's Training Academy planned an exciting program covering all aspects of the business, from the organization of international association meetings to the bidding process and organization of familiarization trips and sites inspections, to the financial planning and budget control of events.
It is noteworthy that the event sponsor of the IAPCO Regional Seminar is Qatar MICE Development Institute (QMDI), while Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC) is the venue partner, MELIA Hotel, Doha, the hotel partner, and Qatar Airways the airline partner of the seminar.
