4 February 2012 Doha, Qatar: The Qatar Science Leadership Program (QSLP) is now accepting applications from Qatari postgraduates for its prestigious vocational training. Submissions are invited until May 15th, 2012, with results announced by July 15th, 2012.
The QSLP, an initiative of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), gives participants the opportunity to enhance their skills through professional development training courses.
The program seeks energetic team players with dynamic leadership qualities, and backgrounds primarily relating to Computer Science and Engineering, Energy and Environment, or Biomedical Research.
They may select one of two training modules, the "Research Scientist Track," or the "Research Management Track." The former involves placements at elite institutions such as Oxford University and Cambridge University in the U.K., and Harvard University and Stanford University in the U.S. Programs will be tailored to suit Qatar's current national needs, such as sustainable development, as well as the future planning of QF research centers.
Meanwhile, the "Research Management Track" is Qatar-based, and offers hands-on experience at QF's Research Division and its partners. They include Qatar Science and Technology Park, Qatar National Research Fund, Sidra Medical and Research Center, and Education City branch campuses.
Successful completion of the QSLP will not only lead to guaranteed jobs in QF's various research centers, but will further the nation's journey towards a knowledge-based economy.

Qatar Foundation - Unlocking Human Potential
Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development is a private, non-profit organization that is supporting Qatar on its journey from carbon economy to knowledge economy by unlocking human potential for the benefit of not only Qatar, but the world.
