Doha - March 10, 2004

Qatar Airways has signed a partnership agreement with Rotana Hotels for four of the group’s hotels to become “preferred hotels” of Qatar Airways.

The four properties are the Beach Rotana Hotel & Towers in Abu Dhabi, Gefinor Rotana Hotel in Beirut, Sharjah Rotana Hotel in Sharjah and the Rotana flagship hotel, the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai.

“Rotana Hotels are one of the leading hotel management companies in the Middle East, and an agreement between Qatar Airways and Rotana Hotels will be of great benefit to our customers,” Qatar Airways Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker announced.

“On our way to becoming the world’s best airline, we are continuously trying to offer our guests the best possible service. This starts from the moment they book the flight, through to our award-winning cabin service, and will in future go even further. Now Qatar Airways will offer that little bit extra, which makes all the difference.

“Our vision is closely related to that of Rotana Hotels. Both our companies are service-driven and goal-orientated, so we will complement each other and will ensure that guests flying on Qatar Airways, and staying at one of the associated hotels, will receive nothing but the best service.

“Qatar Airways operates a ‘preferred hotel policy’, with our airline recommending a particular hotel at each destination.

By associating ourselves with excellent hotel properties around the world, such as those owned by the Rotana Hotels, we can provide our passengers with a recommendation which they can trust, just the way they have come to trust the standard of service onboard of a Qatar Airways flight,” Mr. Al Baker said.
