Doha – Q-Auto, the official dealer of Audi in Qatar, announced the launch of the latest Audi A5 in the country. The model represents the second generation of the A5 Coupé, made even sportier with an all-new chassis, high-performance engines and innovative infotainment solutions.

To mark the debut of the stunning A5, Q-Auto simultaneously launched an exciting digital competition, inspired by the brand’s five-star standards. The dealership invited Facebook and Instagram users to share five things they love about the new model to stand a chance to win a range of luxurious prizes comprising dinner for five persons in a five star hotel, GoPro and weekend test-drive with the new Audi A5. The competition garnered a significant response from the growing community of Audi lovers in Qatar, with around 330 members having participated. Additionally, the competition reached over 380,000 people across all social medial channels while achieving a total of 532 comments and 795 shares. One of Qatar’s most popular social media influencers, Khalifa Al Haroon, founder of ILoveQatar Network, also joined in the conversation by sharing his incredible driving experience with the new A5 on his social media platforms. 

The two-door coupé blends elegant, emotional design with high functionality; its sportiness defined by perfectly balanced proportions featuring a long engine hood, stretched wheelbase and short overhangs. The stunning exterior is enhanced by a flatter and wider Singleframe grille, illuminated by LED headlights.

With a weight reduction of 60 kilograms, the A5 is the lightest in the segment. The model also boasts new standards in space and comfort, thanks to the horizontal architecture of the instrument panel that creates a sense of roominess in the interiors. Its driver-focused design is available with the sophisticated Audi virtual cockpit, a 12.3-inch TFT display with a resolution of 1,440 x 540 pixels – which together with the MMI Navigation plus provide cutting-edge infotainment solutions.  

Designed for maximum safety, new A5 Coupé features new systems such as the Audi Parking aid plus with rearview camera, Auto Release Function as well as the Audi drive select.

Another remarkable advancement is the vehicle’s 2.0TFSI engines that deliver 17% more power and 22% lower fuel consumption as compared to its predecessor. The most powerful engine of the range achieves a top speed of 250/km with 252hp and 370Nm.

Commenting on the launch, Ahmed Shariefi, General Manager of Audi Qatar, said: “We are extremely excited to present the second-generation A5. As part of the launch, Q-Auto has also welcomed the new mid-size A5 Sportback, and the new S5 Coupé. The new A5 models are available at the state-of-the-art Audi showroom on Salwa Road.
