HRH Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, Chairman of Kingdom Holding Company (KHC) received at his office, HE Mr. Lin Jinn-Jong, Taipei Cultural and Economic Representative in Saudi Arabia who was accompanied by Mr. Teng Sheng-ping, Assistant Director-General, Department of West Asian and African Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Republic of China (Taiwan), Mr. Hungdah Su, Directrer General, European Union in Taiwan, Mr. Jenn-hwan Wang, Chair Professor, National Chengchi University and Prof Kenneth Kaocheng Wang, Tamkang University. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Fahad Bin Saad Bin Nafel, Executive Assistant to HRH the Chairman.

The meeting began as Mr. Jong thanked Prince Alwaleed for giving him the opportunity to meet with him. Moreover, during the meeting HRH and Mr. Jong discussed a number of social and economic issues. Mr. Jong commended Prince Alwaleed on his efforts in playing a vital role in economic development and invited the Prince to further invest in his country in light of HRH's local, regional and international investments.

The Prince's investments in Taiwan through Kingdom Holding include the Grand Formosa Regent in the hotel sector through the management of Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, and in Citigroup through the financial sector.

In conclusion to the meeting, Mr. Jong presented HRH with a symbolic gift, in return Prince Alwaleed thanked Mr. Jong and promised to visit his country in the near future.

In 2007, HRH Prince Alwaleed visited Taipei. During his visit HRH was bestowed the Highest National Medal by the President of the Republic of China -Taiwan during a ceremony held at the Presidential Office. The medal was in recognition of HRH's contributions to strengthen the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of China - Taiwan.
