In a tour of the Governorate, Dr. Ahmed Nazif Views Matruh's Development Projects and commends the Almaza Bay progress

On a tour around the Mersa Matrouh governorate, Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif, accompanied by Minister of Tourism Zuhair Garranah, Minister of Communication and Technology Dr. Tarek Kamel, Minister of Education Dr. Yousry El Gamal, and Minister of Local Development and Planning, visited and launched several developments in the area, and was accompanied by the Governor of Mersa Matruh, Mr. Saad Mohamed Khalil.

At the conference which took place at the JAZ Almaza Beach Resort in Almaza Bay, one of Travco Group's upscale developments in Matruh, Mr. Khalil gave a speech to the Ministers about the various investments and projects currently taking place in the governorate, highlighting the fact that Matruh is now considered one of the main sources of the overall economic growth of the country, given the many job opportunities provided, and the improvement of the standards of living of the locals.

Moreover, the governor shed light upon the 6.2 million m2 Almaza Bay development project of Travco Group which offers luxury through a host of leisure and recreational facilities. With One hotel up and running, Jaz Almaza Beach Resort, and Jaz Crystal due to open its doors to its guests very soon, and 3 more under construction, the total number of guest rooms added to the total hotel capacity of the governorate will reach up to approximately 1500. Almaza Bay Resort also offers 3500 residential properties of international standards. All these exquisite properties are surrounded by lush gardens and heavenly scenery, as well as the overwhelming sea scent and crystal clear turquoise waters. In line with the National strategy, the resort development was built with an eye to attract an influx of foreign revenue to the country through the inbound tourism to the hotels and through the residential ownership now open for foreigners upon signing of the free hold real-estate law.

Commenting on the visit, Mr. Hamed El Chiaty, Chairman and CEO of Travco Group stated, "The current developments are aimed to place the North Coast on the International tourism map and is built to compete with international Mediterranean destinations. Hence the company plans to invest almost 5 billion EGP into this mega project which will offer up to 4000 employment opportunities. El Chiaty Adds, "The Almaza Bay project has already attracted the attention of international holiday makers who flock into the JAZ Almaza Beach Resort hence generating a high volume of inbound flights into the Matruh International Airport. That of course is the contribution of our partner tour operators who have scheduled weekly flights into the area with the aim of exploring Egypt's new and budding tourist spot."
