Chitra Iyer, Rimi Tomi, Madhu Balakrishnan amongst many to perform at the event
Dubai: As Onam, the traditional harvest festival of southern India, draws near, the stage is set for 'Ponnonam 2004' - a show that will bring together a host of popular Malayalam performers. Among the artistes who will be celebrating Onam with Keralites in the emirates are Chitra Iyer, Rimi Tomi, Madhu Balakrishnan, Rajesh Vijay, Karthik, Jyotsna, Gayatri.
Kalabhavan Navas and his team of talented mimics will also be part of the Ponnonam entertainment programme. Both shows of Ponnonam 2004, which is being sponsored by Emirates Post's Postcard Millionaire Campaign, will be held at Dubai's Al Nasr Leisureland - on August 19, 2004 at 8.00pm and on August 20, 2004 at 6.30pm.
Since the inception of its postcard promotion in 2001, Emirates Post has used the campaign to actively promote UAE culture and heritage. 'Ponnonam 2004' provides Emirates Post a unique opportunity to support the culture and tradition of another prominent community in the UAE, said Mr. Abdulla Al Daboos, Director General of Emirates Post.

Tickets to the show are available at all Atlas Jewelery stores, at Lulu Hypermarket (Ghusais) and at Lulu Centre in Karama. The tickets are available free of cost to buyers of the 'Ponnonom 2004' postcard packs, each priced at AED 60. Each 'Ponnonom 2004' pack includes two Postcard Millionaire packs - with each containing a coupon in two parts. The first part of the coupon is a Scratch & Win portion for instant prizes. With the second part, the coupon holder is automatically entered into the Postcard Millionaire prize draws.
